The Warrior Bones, a re-designing of a classic favorite. Based on the “J.Frog Bones” guitar made by John Garcia back in 1985 for Dokken guitarist George Lynch, I’ve re-focused the Bones Motif over the body shape of the Jackson Warrior, loved by so many metal players, this one is made specifically for one player in mind. We hope they enjoy playing it as much as I have building it.
This is the journey of the making of The Warrior Bones. The making of the Warrior Bones, here you can see I am working from a stencil I printed out to the correct size, and tracing things the old fashioned way. And this isn’t a C&C machine printing with a 3D Rendering software. Hand carved with rotary tools and chisels.
All of the carving is done by hand, and using the classic tools and machinery I grew up using, along with some new toys like a C&C router, 3D Printer, Laser cutter, and more. Most of all, I cannot wait to see what amazing music comes out of this new rendition of the Classic Bones guitar, otherwise known as “Mom.”
